An additional two individuals are now in custody related to a theft at Heathrow Airport in which 21 people were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, authorities confirmed.
These detentions follow a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a parking garage elevator.
A toddler aged three was one of the injured in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.
Police arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of theft and assault near the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.
Police were alerted at about 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of individuals injured by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.
The attack - an event that authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
